android - Are animated notification bar icons acceptable? -


i'm considering turning static notification bar icon in application animated one, since seems make identification of app state bit easier users.

i've checked , figured out animated icons (animation-list drawables)indeed work in notification bar.

but can't recall i've ever seen animated icons in notification bar except system ones (e.g. battery when charging). also, can't find guidelines google on matter.

are animated notification bar icons acceptable\recommended according google's requirements\guidelines?

i think not recommended use google acceptable.

google: make android guidelines not follow them , force else same.

i did not find official google guidelines animeted notification icons there lot of usefull information
