How to define custom slot type for Device Name in Alexa Skill -


i building skill special controls of our devices. these controls not available in smart home api. need set custom slot type know devicename intent schema. devicename has really lot of possibilities. can name device cat light, bobby's car, hamburger , etc... , can't write them under list of samples, it's impractical.

it isn't clear asking. sounds trying build alexa smart home skill, opposed "custom skill".

smart home skills not allow specify own slots, intents, utterances, etc. must use smart home commands defined amazon.

if doesn't work you, you'll need create custom skill. can define intents, slots, etc.
