Docker/Debian fails to open web pages: "Getting Error opening web browser Exited with code 3" -


in debian docker environment, whenever tries open web page, fails error:

error opening web browser. error: exited code 3

manually visit https:/[whatever url should have been opened] in browser.

i have dim understanding of ports, , have exposed 80 in dockerfile , opened run command:

docker run -it -v /users/aedelstein/dropbox/dev:/home/alexed/dev -p 8000:8000 -p 5000:5000 -p 80:80 alexed1/dev5

any suggestions welcome.
