vdproj - Why is the Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 Installer extension not working for VS Community 2017 -


we have been using vdproj build msi our executables. have been using in vs2017 without issue until recent update caused error in vs2017 required reinstall. since reinstall, vdproj files no longer able load after installing installer located here. https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemname=visualstudioproductteam.microsoftvisualstudio2017installerprojects

here snapshot showing package in fact installed, , projects not loading. no go

any insight may need change in registry/etc. working again?
