How to create an Android project in Android Studio 3.0 beta 5? -


the beta 5 released. i'm trying create android project used to, shows idea-like window should choose type of project want create options "java", "groovy", "gradle", "kotlin"... where're ol' "activity"-templates?

i installed beta 5 on virtual machine working on same xubuntu version real machine does. works well. perhaps issue somehow related fact installed rider ide jetbrains. still, rider has been installed while, , did not affect installation of previous beta versions of studio

i detected android plugins not found & not connected studio. weird. clicked "download & enable" , after several downloading , update processes studio began working used to.
