migration - Apple Mail & Duplicates -


a couple of years ago bought new macbook pro , migrated emails old mac. rid of possible old data trash exported postboxes , imported them 1 one manually. during process apple mail somehow had troubles updating screen. guess due masses of mails. unfortunately imported boxes more once, cause thought did not work out correctly. logical result got local folders had mails double or multiple. hand deleted thousands of mails directly out of postboxes/folders , thought fine again.

recently switched mails imap , wanted copy local folders server , here comes problem again. though apple mail views each mail once have in library multiple emlx-files old migration. have different filenames size , content same.

for instance have local mail folder 24 mails. in same folder in library there 30 emlx-files cause have 3 mails imported triple. when copy or move folder directly in mail program says 30 files copied. in new folder still 24 displayed. during process library creates folder 30 files , partial.emlx files. 1 of smallest mailboxes. have boxes more thousand mails. , library stores not emlx attachments have 75gb maildata.

would great if has solution.

i first year undergraduate csc student looking competitive programming. recursion involves defining , solving sub problems. understand, top down dynamic programming (dp) involves memoizing solutions sub problems reduce time complexity of algorithm. can top down dp used improve efficiency of every recursive algorithm overlapping sub problems? dp fail work , how can identify this? the short answer is: yes. however, there constraints. obvious 1 recursive calls must overlap. i.e. during execution of algorithm, recursive function must called multiple times same parameters. lets truncate recursion tree memoization. can use memoization reduce number of calls. however, reduction of calls comes price. need store results somewhere. next obvious constraint need have enough memory. comes not-so obvious constraint. memory access requires time. first need find result stored , maybe copy location. in cases, might faster let recursion calculate result instead of loading somewher...
